EBC sostituisce il disco rigido originale con un disco freno Full Floater
Il molto complesso e costoso nella produzione Full Floater ma offre vantaggi decisivi nella frenata. L’anello del freno, che viene segato, forato e rettificato da barre di acciaio HPSR forgiato, può espandersi senza problemi senza deformarsi anche durante le ripetute frenate a fondo, ad esempio durante la discesa di passi di montagna.
Anche in questo caso, il basso contenuto di carbonio dell’acciaio HPSR utilizzato dimostra il suo valore, in quanto assicura una minima variazione strutturale dell’acciaio sotto la continua sollecitazione termica del riscaldamento e del raffreddamento del disco del freno in caso di uso stradale difficile.
Un disco freno Full Floater della EBC è sempre un notevole guadagno in termini di sicurezza.
