EBC Prolite Brake Disc, Full Floater

EBC replaces the rigid original disc with a Full Floater brake disc
The Full Floater discs are very expensive and time-consuming to manufacture, but they offer decisive advantages when braking. The brake ring, which is sawn, drilled and ground from forged HPSR steel bars, can expand unhindered without deforming even during repeated full braking, e.g. when descending mountain passes.
Here, too, the low carbon content of the HPSR steel used proves its worth, as it ensures very little structural change in the steel under the continuous thermal stress of heating up and cooling down the brake disc in tough road use.
A Full Floater brake disc from EBC is always a significant gain in safety.
