The steel used for the new EBC VR brake discs is a special stainless steel compound with a higher friction effect than that of conventional heat-treated stainless steel brake discs.
They are completely heat-treated from stainless steel and provide the rider with optimum hardness. In addition to the weight saving, the cooling of the brake disc is essential.
For optimal cleaning of the brake disc, the braking surface is drilled with a design that also allows for weight savings.
The fewer the holes, the better the wet braking performance and the lower the wear of the brake disc.
The rider benefits from the improved braking feel and response, as well as the durability of the brake disc due to the improved quality.
The material is therefore wear-resistant and not subject to cracking.
